Origin of silk: (the original silk refers to the silk woven by cocoon silk, or pure silk). Our country is a large silk country, 80% of the world silk are produced in China. The scale of weaving and dyeing office in Suzhou was extended in Qing Dynasty, the total quantity of weaving machines in 1894 reached to 15000 units, the annual yield of silk was 300000 bolts. Due to the superior quality, Suzhou weaving office especially served the royalty and court officials in Qing Dynasty.
